Dalia Burde
Executive Producer

 

As the founder and owner of Avocados and Coconuts, Dalia has an acute understanding of production at any scale. She draws from over 22 years of production experience and has worked on everything from large multi-million dollar budget union films, commercials, and PSA’s, to sit-coms and webisodes. A dedicated surfer and outdoor enthusiast, she is fully in her element when producing travel and adventure content. Her feature film documentaries include, Given and A Film about Coffee.

Christopher Newman
Director

 

Began his career shooting professional surfers across the globe. Having earned a Masters degree in documentary from UC Santa Cruz, his award winning doc work screened in festivals worldwide and nationally on PBS. Drawing from his diverse filmmaking background, he strives to create cinematic, heartfelt and honest connections between his subjects and the viewer. His latest film A Letter to Congress is a Vimeo Staff Pick and was awarded best short film at the 2018 Wild and Scenic Film Festival. It is currently screening as part of Mountainfilm’s World Film Tour.

Amani King
Creative Director

 

Growing up in the Rockies on a steady diet of outdoor sports Amani co-founded his first company, the seminal snowboard brand Twist, while still in high school. He owes his creative vision to the scrappy DIY ethic he learned from skate/surf/snow culture. The self-reliance, determination, and open collaboration that he values has served him well, from his boardsport roots to directing global campaigns for brands such as Adidas, Xbox, and Apple.

Devin Whetstone
Director of Photography

 

Devin has demonstrated versatility and creativity across a uniquely broad spectrum of projects including national broadcast spots, feature films and documentaries. He travelled through 15 different countries to shoot Given, our first feature length documentary, providing technical and creative vision for the challenging and diverse cinematography. His latest project was primarily filmed on the Quelccaya ice cap in Peru at 18,500 feet for the upcoming climate change documentary Canary, produced by the creators of ‘Chef’s Table.’ As an avid climber himself Devin excels in capturing beautiful moments in extreme environments.
